Thankful For You

More great challenges I participated in today!! First off, I incorporated Dawn McVey's Rasberry Suite Color Challenge - aren't these colors gorgeous together? Loved working with them! I also made the flower for the Just Us Girls 3-D Challenge this week. The challenge was to make a 3-D Flower on a project.
Now, the trick to making these layered cardstock flowers is to spritz each layer with water before wrinkling. It allows you to shape them into a sort of "cup" while drying. Once they're dry, the cardstock is much stiffer. I also added some Desert Sand ink to give it a more vintage look.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!
Supplies:
Stamps: PTI (Background Basics:Text Style, Polka Dot Basics) Verve (So Happy)
Cardstock: PTI (Kraft, Rasberry Fizz), CTMH (Chocolate and Colonial White)
Inks: CTMH (Chocolate, Desert Sand)
Accessories: PTI (New Leaf Saddle Stitch Ribbon), CTMH (Organic In Color Dimensional Elements - button)
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Flower, EK Success Edge Punch, Paper Shapers Corner Rounder

  1. Oh WOW!! I really LOVE your card. The layout and overall design is fantastic! So vintage, yet chic. I especially love the cs layered flower that resembles our tissue paper flowers! That is just stunning especially with the ink you added to give it more of a vintage feel! GREAT 3-D flower...and it seems easy enough as well! Can't wait to give it a try :O)

Thanks so much for playing along with Just Us Girls today! Hope to see you again next week for the Wild Card challenge I'm hosting! EVERY participant will be a winner ;]
